Good Day,

Having a peculiar trigger issue on my CZ SP-01 Shadow line. A little while ago replaced some springs, a lightened trigger return spring, a reduced recoils spring 14lb and reduced hammer spring 13lb, took the pistol out a a couple time and worked perfect. Today I installed a comp hammer, function test safety, racked the slide and pulled the trigger, and had a very nice light crisp trigger very happy so far. Pull the hammer back a few times and all still good, pull the slide back a few times, the trigger is still awesome. Now I pull the slide back and release while the trigger is still pulled, release the trigger until i hear rest, start pulling the trigger and the trigger stiffens up a bit, if I stop pulling the trigger the hammer drops to half ####, if I countinue pulle the trigger the hammer moves back slightly and and drops completely. I think the stiffing is the trigger pulling the hammer back as it was starting to drop. If I allow the trigger to travel all the way back after hearing the rest no issues. Do I need to reinstall a regular power trigger return spring? Or what you gents think the issues is?

Thx

Where are you, Kaberday? If you’re in the GVRD, you can try my spare Eemann comp disco if you don’t want to file yours. It’s supposed to drop in and not require fitting.

Thx that may be it, since I installed a new disconnecter, hammer strut and pins today as well. To add I pulled the slide off and was watching the movement of the trigger bar. If I stop the trigger movement as as soon I hear the rest, then allow the trigger to fully return, I can see a slight movement on the trigger bar, are they related?

Can't quite visualize it from your description, but the trigger bar moving upwards is normal DA reset.
In CZ75, SA shot is actuated by sear-hammer, and DA by the trigger bar sliding downwards off the disconnector "wings".

Have a look here: http s://forums.brianenos.com/topic/191773-cz-tuning-101-with-professor-atlas/

What disconnector did you buy?

Also check if safety can still be engaged: it often requires fitting after comp hammer is installed (unless you also installed and adjusted a Cajun adjustable sear, that is).

Thx I’ll have a look at the link. The safety seems to be working properly as far as I could tell, it’s the old safety. The disconnecter and strut as just CZ OEM parts. On the trigger return if I stop the trigger travel as soon I hear the reset, then I allow the trigger to travel until it fully returned, I can see the trigger bar is moving slightly, during that period. The issue only happens if I try to pull the trigger again once I hear the reset. If I allow the trigger to continue travelling back past the point i hear the rest then there is no issue. I think your right the new disconnecter maybe the issue. Is it possible that after firing the pistol a few for the disconnecter to wear in, or do I need to actually file it down?

So I when pistol pulled apart, the new disco seems thicker and does not have a little hook as compared pared to the original. Going to try to polish as per video and see what happens.
