Pedersoli Baker rifle

According to Guns Week this is Pedersoli s Baker rifle.It was supposed to be unveiled at the 2025 shot show but I haven’t seen any videos yet as most people seem to focus on Center fire guns instead of muzzleloaders.I would rather the lock browned like the originals instead of in the white

That white steel would look terrible if you accidentally colour case hardened it.

I will buy a Pedersoli Baker rifle if the price is right but I think Pedersoli would do good if they were to remake a version of the Zoli Buffalo hunter 58cal.I picked up one last year and refurbished it ,they make an excellent big bore hunting rifle.Since they already make the Zouave rifled musket and all this is ,is a sporting version of the Zouave then it should be easy to set up for

Here in UK the figure being bandied about by the 'cognoscenti' is ITRO £2000 - CAN$3200.

If $3200 is the right price depending where you live in Canada it puts it around $3700 with tax and shipping.A lot of money these days for most folks,I would have to sell off a few guns to justify that gun

That will cost about 1000$ more than the Rifle Shoppe kit. While I hate building the Rifle Shoppe kit it’s a correct copy. I expect Pedersoli to have likely made short cuts with their copy like they usually do. I haven’t seen a properly scaled or 100% correct Pedersoli musket yet.

1:12" twist... Surely a typing error.

It is a typo it’s a 120 twist as per the original baker rifle twist.This was written by an Italian so the twist rate got lost the translation I guess.
