I just got my new rolling block in .45-70. Just wondering if anyone had some recipies they would like to share. I got some 350 grain Berrys, but I'm not sure if that would be suitable. From what I read the rifle is capable of shooting up to 29,000 psi.

I use a case packed full of FFg behind a Lyman 457125.

Putting smokeless powder and jacketed bullets in a buff rifle is a sin.

You may find that your Pedersoli does not handle the lighter bullets well. It was designed for the 405g and above and from what I have seen they are right. The gun works very well with the heavier bullets but was disappointing with 300 and 350g. I was advised by Pedersoli themselves that optimum performance is gained with the heavier bullets and black powder. I tend to agree but perhaps you will have better results.
