Pedersoli Tryon Value?

I have a Pedersoli Tryon Target Rifle in .54 caliber I have been shooting this rifle since I was in my late teens I am now 50 and have not shot this thing in years so I am thinking about letting someone else enjoy the old girl.
I don't know a lot about the rifle other than it was given to me by my Dad years ago and I have had it ever since. It shoots very well and it's a heavy beast.
The pictures, can someone tell me what this might me worth if I was to but a for sale sign on it?
I see new are going for $1200 ish but how do these hold their value I can't see a huge market for them?

There are different finish levels to the Tryon rifle. Yours is the most simple, mine has machine engraving and a matte bright finish and better walnut stock.
I would say that your Ŧryon would bring $700, or so - assuming the bore is clean and not worn.
The demand is among the traditional rendezvous crowd.
 
Tryons have a good reputation but the market for quality traditional muzzleloaders is small and it can take some time to find the right buyer.
I'd agree to the price range $600- $800 depending on your patience and if you include any gear and supplies. I used to think of measures, cappers, flasks etc as just thrown in fluff but that stuff has really gone up in value too.
 
bp front stuffers market has crashed be prepared to sit for a long time for your price or be very flexible
look at past auctions to see true market value. The gun dealer has the same rifle in 45 cal up for sale for the past 4 years
 
Great info thanks guys. I am thinking since it's been given to me I will keep it. I am not shooting muzzleloaders that much any more but I have a plain Jane TC New Englander 50 cal / 12gauge that is a lot easier to shoot that is my go to for when I do want to and covers my ass on most game needs if the need arises.
 
Being in BC, the Heffley Creek Rendezvous would be the place to sell. There are quite a few Black Powder clubs in BC.
 
Yes we have one every July long weekend here in PG, I will try to keep that in mind but I know I will forget and be doing something else.
