One option for me is to do the same thing I diod to my SKS. Just bolt a sight base to the side of the action and mouint a target peep. i have lots of those. But I am looking for somethjing simpler.
I was thinking of trimming a Lee Enfield L sight and gluing it on, but it would be a bit high.
I was rummaging around in my scope ring bin and found a loose clamp from a Weaver ring.
It is small, light and neat. I will trim a bit of the top piece off and then glue it onto the rifle with some Devcon. I will file a bit of a flat on top of the action cover to increase the surface area for the glue. I am hopeful that the low weight will reduce the stress on the glue during recoil.
The action cover has some wiggle. I note that the rear of the action has two vertical pads that bear on the little block at the back of the cover. I will glue a little 20 thou shim on the top of the two posts, to reduce wiggle.
