I checked out the Tech-Sights page and was intriqued by the TSM200 Adjustable Aperture Sight for the MARLIN® 60® & 795® Rifle. The Marlin 60 looks a lot like the old Cooey 60 (a streatch) which is related to my Cooey Mod 78. What are the chances that the sights would fit my Model 78? (when I got it there were open iron sights on it, not the peep sight)

You could put that peep sight on any grooved rifle. The thing you need to remember is that a taller(or shorter?) front sight may be needed to get you on target.

Thanks for that - it was an interesting read! The Williams sights were interesting, as usual...

That Williams rear sight looks pretty decent. Needs screw adjustment at least on the windage, but it'd be a nice touch on the elevation as well.

I shot a Marlin 39 with a Lyman on the back of it when I was a kid. Worked great but was a bit bulky and overhanging, if one was in the bush. The Williams looks a lot more, well, correct, to my eye anyway.
