peep sight

Hello all. My wife got me a mossberg 464 30.30 for a wedding present and was wonder if this modle is capable of having a peep sight on it. Please let me know.

It doesn't look as though the rifle was drilled for a gallows style receiver sight, but a gunsmith could look after that for you. You might be able to mount a folding post tang sight as well, but again, you need to have a second hole drilled and tapped in the tang. Keep in mind, that a receiver sight mounts high enough that you will need a higher front sight to compensate.
