Hey guys,

We are busy getting an IPSC section together. If you are interested in shooting some action pistol, and even 3 gun please get in touch.

We are also arranging a Black Badge course, to be held in September. We will confirm the exact date and venue nearer the time. Again- please get in touch if you are interested.

All the best,

Jakes

Cool.
Keep us posted
I go there frequently in the western side. North of miscouche.

Dreaming: take vacation with my wife AND shooting level III at your range ( and Cavendish beach too!). We go 5 time with kids. I love this place.

I was at Alexandria range. It is possibly to run a level 1 ipsc match utilizing the rear berm. I have not seen bug boot range...but i was told it can be possible. It sounds like it has a similiar range to Cap Pele range in nb. Miscouche i wave not seen in many years...but was told it is not currently in great shape...
The possiblility of having a great vacation spot and ahoot a match is very desirable. I think big boot may be the best bet...however...i only know of 1 or 2 R.O.'s (ipsc r.o.) in pei...Rob S and i think pierre A.

I think miscouche might be the best bet currently.

It's just a high dirt berm, no targets or anything, and the locals use it to dump garbage and idiots like to shoot up old tvs and washing machines and such. It would require a GOODclean up the day before a match. But you could concieveably shoot in 3 directions with a good stage setup. You couldn't leave ANYTHING there though. There's a group or rednecks (maybe not even club members) that frequent the spot and like to shoot up the garbage bins, benches, barricades, and light everything on fire.

We are having some range issues here especially at the big boot. Unfortunately IPSC at Alexandria is going to be complex. Guests can only visit once under our DCRA insurance and a membership is 165 a year for the access to the range through DCRA. The boot may work or we might have to CLEAN up miscouche. I can get a covered trailer to haul targets back and forth that and a few other guys with trucks we can do a lot.

Hope to see you all in Cap Pele July 10 and we can talk. We can still make it go AND support 2 matches a year MAYBE 3.

Most clubs insurance only covers its members plus guests just once but when putting on an IPSC sanctioned match I believe the insurance is provided by IPSC provided all competitors have paid their dues for the year.

Insurance is the host clubs responsibility. There are other, better options than DCRA; there's SFC, NFA, CSSA...

It makes for a very long day if you have to setup and tear down absolutely everything for an IPSC match on the same day.

It also limits the scope of the course of fire.

But, you got to start somewhere...

Keep me informed. But I don't see Big Boot as an option, to quote:

"Due to community pressure firearms has suggested some range changes
We will now be closing at 7:00pm (not dusk)
Shooting on Sundays will be limited to handgun and 22 calibre only"

Probably Community pressure is all from that wingnut Labchuk.

As I said range issues :(

Miscouche is likely our best option and I think I can get it cleaned up working with the range owner and insurance won't be an issue at Miscouche.

good to see you folks at Cap Pele. Hope this Miscouche option works out. The post above....do they mean at Big boot, they only want .22 handgun on the range on sundays, or is it .22 AND handguns?

The owners of the boot haven't gotten back to me regards using the range for BB and tier 1 match but they I am sure have a full email box on other subjects. Centre fire pistols are permitted on Sunday.

Going out to inspect Miscouche in an hour. BUGSPRAY!!!!
