Pelican 1770 or plano field locker mil-spec double long gun case 109540

Looking to pick up a hard case. Has anybody compared the two? Is there another case worth mentioning? I found the Plano online for 269 and the pelican for around 500. If anybody knows where to get the best deal would be helpful too.

I would rate the Pelican #1, ...SKB, A very close #2,.... #3 Plano ,and the rest of the hard cases below that .
Both Pelican and SKB use a closed cell foam , which is much better than the "Pluck n Pull" foam. I own both Pelican ( Modern Hunter) and SKB, (Tavor) cases, love them both..
That being said, Whole Sale Sports, usually has a great deal around "Fathers Day " . I have seen Pelican Cases up to 50% off.

You dont want the 1770. I had one for my LRT-3. Too big and impractical for anything but the largest of rifles.
Positioning of handles made it very awkward to use.
The Pelican 1750 or Storm i3300 is what you want. The i3300 is a bit nicer than the 1750 IMO as the latches are nicer to use. Otherwise pretty much the same thing.
$500 for one is a rip-off.
