Before I post a WTB advert in the EE, I thought I should check in this forum first.

I have a PEM scope and am looking for a rifle and mount to go with it. The PEM's were used from 1936-1942, the rifles had bent bolts like the later and more common PU rifles, but the mount did not require the stock but cut out as it does for the PU mount.

My question here is: how common are pre-42, bent bolt, uncut stock 91/30 rifles? It looks like a majority of the newly imported PU rifles have recently cut stocks, has anyone seen uncut stocks recently?

It would be easy enough to "make" a standard rifle match the scope, but I would like to keep the project as original as possible.

Thanks and take care.

I have a 42 Tula ex-sniper previously D+T for a PEM side mount setup.I believe they were only made in the first 3 months of 42 before changing to the PU scope system. This year and make was the same Vasili's rifle.Harold
