Random late night musings here, so bear with me. I've been looking around, a few can be found in the states, usually called lightweight barrels instead of pencil barrels, but I am having trouble finding any light profile AR15 barrels shorter than 20" in Canada.
I have it in my head that I want to build a lightweight AR good for CQB that still has enough velocity that I don't need grenade sights to reach out to 4-500 yards with at my range. I don't want a shorty 10-12" barrel if I can at all avoid it, my ideal would be a 16" pencil/ lightweight profile AR-15 barrel. Very likely to be mounting a BCM KMR on it for weight savings as well, along with some titanium or otherwise lightweight guts as I progress down this build in time.
Is this a pipe dream or can barrels like the Daniel defense lightweight or BCM BFH 16" Mid Length light weight be brought into Canada?
