pentax differences??

With the good reading on the couple $500 bino threads I'm really starting to narrow down my choices. The pentax's look VERY good....but the DCF line varies GREATLY in price, can anyone tell me the difference between them? The SP, WP,WP II,XP, HRII? there several hundred dollars difference between these...why? Whats the difference? Any help appreciated.

Take a look at the various models at Binoculars Canada they have a good description. I am very happy with my Pentax Compact 8x28's.
