Penticton Hunting ?

Im thinking of trying Penticton this season. My main reason is to shoot my first Turkey. I read in the reg's that you are allowed 1. Is this a good area to hunt ? Has anybody shot a Turkey in this area ? Is there a better area to shoot Turkeys in B.C. ?
 
I live in Kelowna and have yet to see a turkey in the area. Mules, whites and lots of bears. I was in Kaslo (west kooteneys) a couple of weeks ago and stopped on the side of the road to look at three big jakes, the dang things strutted right up to the truck , all full of "what you lookin at?" they then chased my truck down the road for about 50yrds or more as I drove away. Funniest thing I ever saw.
