I found a place that the gun seller said that he had CZ do custom order of 1000 452s for that shop. I might be able to help some out that are looking for those guns. Send me a PM if interested. The prices weren't terrible either...

The places that had the 452s are Marksman guns and sports in Lethbridge, and Southland Canadian tire in Calgary. Proline shooters had a 453 lux for sale, and might have had a few 452s as well. But I was looking for centerfire yesterday, and wasn't paying as much attention to the rimfire.

I Will NEVER buy a single thing from marksman in lethbridge!
He had a mark II BV the day I bought mine from wholesale. I went in and looked before heading to WSS and e had the BV with a $409.00 price on it!!!!! No lies! When I asked why it was $80 more than wholesale he grabbed it out of my hands put it back in the box and said, "then go to wholesale!" Not in a nice tone either!
If you want business as returning customers that is no way To treat them! He is and always has been a prick! And his prices are and always have been WAYYY outta wack! Oh and he's full of BS too. Really dislike the guy! He will only be nice to you when he sees you with cash in hand ready to pay his prices.

Canadian tire was the one that had the 1000 custom built. Gunsmith there said that he thought the 455 was a silly concept. Marksman has a 452 lux I think and one or 2 scouts. Just trying to help out those looking for the 452 by pointing out places I go that have them.

According to cz they still make the 452 just not in all the models they used to.
wow, a Canadian tire that has a gunsmith on staff ????...this is confusing to me, i'm used to a pimple faced teenager having to be paged and question me on wanting to buy a box of .22 shells !!! do these CT's actually exist ??????

Ted from Marksman is a great guy I have known him a long time. Yes his prices are higher because he does not buy direct from the manufacturer like Wholesale does. And because of that some folks choose not to shop there. But a prick he is not. FS

Is there a possibility that your attitude towards him is a reflection of how you interact with him? There are different ways of saying the same thing. I've learned (albeit late in life!) that a gentlemanly attitude, a bit of diplomacy and carefully chosen words goes a long way.
I also didn't find Ted to be a ####. I have bought from him before. When I 'bought' my CZ redhead deluxe shotgun, he was literally the only one in Alberta with a CZ over and under, new or used. I walked in with cash, and made him an offer, while holding the cash visible, and he made a reasonable counter offer. No GST and $60 off the tag price. He didn't have to, but he did...
Maybe he was just having a bad day. We all have them where we're grouch and easily irritated... I don't know anyone that hasn't had that happen...
I have also phoned or walked into the store looking for things either not in stock, or that he didn't carry, and found that he'd tell me where to find those things if I was in a hurry, even from his main competitors...
