I've had several used Perazzi's and they can be one heck of a deal!
I purchased a used Mx8 with a shortened stock for a project gun and I got a semi inletted stock and fitted it and finished it to match the front stock. The gun wasn't quite as good as described from the seller and I had to put in a new locking block and some springs and pins in the top lever. I also picked up a used spare trigger group for $500 instead of the new price of $2000. It's now tight and fits me like a custom gun, it has no choke tubes but I'm ok with that because it handles better than most other guns I've shot. All in I'm still under $4k invested and this gun is basically brand new and far higher quality than a B gun costing more.

Just broke my first leaf this weekend. I have a trigger parts kit and it took less than two minutes to change. Really simple

Do you have my idea how many rounds you had on that spring ?

From what I've read and seen first hand, there is no guessing when a spring will break. Some go 200,000 rounds and some go 200 rounds. Some people change them out annually but they still get the odd one breaking.

I do not keep an accurate count but would guess 50,000+ on my MX8 with 4 broken springs.

Do you have my idea how many rounds you had on that spring ?

I bought the gun used from a friend. I have no idea how many rounds have gone thru this MX 8 mirage. I have put probably only 500 since buying it cuz it’s highly engraved and quite valuable so I shoot my MX8 sporting or my 687 EELL the majority of the time. Now I have to buy the leaf to restock the trigger kit. Where are you Nutrs getting your parts? Nordic or other?

A gunsmith friend in Alberta. He works on lots of Perazzi and can get parts pretty quick.
