Perazzi question

.
For shooting flying fish ? Perhaps instead of Bear Defence we should consider FISH Defence.

This is not a laughing matter and the idea should be taken seriously!

Almost everyone has seen those movies on U-Tube where the boat is run up the river and the Asian Carp come flying out of the water and some land in the boat, and even hit ( and / or attack the people ).......... ...Laugh2

This question was posed on shotgunworld too and nobody has answered yet? As stated by the OP on that thread it doesn’t appear on Perazzi’s website and he saw it advertised in a magazine. Got me curious now, I’m going to text a fellow here in AB that sells new Perazzi’s and see what he can tell me. I wonder if it was a misprint? Maybe it was for the new High Tech?

It might be a misprint but the pic doesn't look like one of the newer models in fact it appears to have the old style screw in chokes but it's difficult to tell in the pics because they aren't very high resolution. The price is far too cheap for a High Tech model anyway.

Ha ha Spank... too funny!

No camo coating on the one in the pic though.... blue and wood. I'm thinking that no model of that name actually exists. I thought the gun was a hunting gun as the ad says 29 inch barrels but curiously it has a high rib. Not a really high rib like you see on some trap guns and sporting clay's guns but higher than a hunting gun normally would have.
Guess I'm going to have to email them and find out.

Got this from a couple guys on trapshooters.com

The only time I've ever heard of it was when someone dropped it in the lake while hunting.

From then on it was called the Aquatic Special Edition.

Hauxfan!

But on a more serious note:

I saw mention of it on another discussion board and a friend sent me a picture.
It wasn't camo. It looked like an early MX-8.

I asked around and came up empty.
Probably a special run or maybe an import from across the pond.

So the vendor got back to my inquiry about this gun and sent some slightly better pics. It appears to have some sort of matt finish on it, something I find odd for a 1970'ish Perazzi, does anyone know if they actually offered that finish? If not then it makes me wonder if the gun didn't get rusted bad at one time and the owner maybe had it cerakoted or something to hide the damage. I'm pretty sure it's an early MX8 but it doesn't have MX8 stamped on the left side upper chamber like other ones I've seen so maybe not either. It also has no choke tubes and there is nothing on the gun anywhere that says "Aqua Special Edition" so I think that name thing is a product of some one's imagination. Of course, with over 200 different Perazzi models made in the last 50 odd years or so it could just about be anything!

I think you hit the nail on the head. It’s someones bastardized gun as the Perazzi sales fellow I spoke with indicated. I think the actual model is the very rare MXH2O......

....... MXwater??????? Just about spit my coffee all over the monitor Spank! :)

Can't believe that I actually caught that! Normally you'd have to spell it out for me!
