PERCUSSION CAPS

A while ago, looking for percussion caps, I inquired about RWS # 1081 lack of stock and I received an answer from Power Pill that he uses CCI caps without any problem.
This morning, I shot my Pedersoli Enfield 1873 with CCI Multi-use caps and I confirm that they are O.K.

So, there is plentiful stock everywhere.

Funny that you mention this now. I was just shooting one of my ML's using CCI caps from Cabela's, where I purchased 4 tins last year, first time using that brand of caps. The tins are all marked "magnum", not sure if that matters much, but I experienced two "duds" that didn't go off when struck, and a third one that went off but failed to ignite the charge in the gun. Each misfire occurred in a different gun. A second cap solved all three issues but the whole exercise left a bad taste in my mouth.

I mostly use a ML for a very casual fun "meat hunt" for does only; a missed opportunity results in nothing worse than an "oh, well..." and, if lucky, a re-do on the same deer. But...if I happened to find myself faced with a trophy buck and my gun went click or poof instead of boom...I'd be pissed.
