Permits for Owl's in B.C.

Does anyone know how you go about getting a permit to get an owl stuffed in B.C.? I've done a bit of inquiring and have been told that fish and Wildlife won't issue a permit for anything that they figure they can get over $200 for at a widlife auction. So instead of issuing a permit they confiscate it and then sell it to the highest bidder. Leaving the guy that found it with nothing. I'm hoping this isn't th case but any info would be great.

That $200 info is pretty much correct. You will not get a permit for anyhting endangered or rare, liek a spotted owl.

A found dead wildlife ( non-endangered or protected exempt of course) permit in AB is $10.60.

I actually just went through the whole process. I had a barn owl I found at work. While in the Surrey office I learned lots of BS rules the government has imposed. If you were to find a road kill black bear, your likely going to be allowed to keep it once registered and fee paid, if that bear is a grizz, FOR GET IT!! Thanks for skinning it out, see you at the auction. Bunch of crap that is.
While the form states animals such as Grizz MAY be possessed the biologist I spoke to said he's never heard of it happening.

Even if you were out spring scouting and found a nice sheep horn that's an obvious winter kill, your supposed to turn them in.

It they want me to hand over profitable game items they could at least pay me an hourly wage!!
