Perscribed Antique Rifle and Shotgun barrel lengths ??

yeah, remember a non firearm instantly becomes a firearm when it is used to comit a crime.

Is careless storage or careless use a crime?

Now for a really cool antique rifle...

I just wanted to know if there was anything about Barrel length on Rifles and Shotguns that are perscribed Antiques and this thread like most has twisted off Course!
Im sure Tactical870 wasnt susjesting sawing off guns in Basements ect.

I will just go by the way things are right now.

Them Howdas Martinis pistols are cool most were hand made so they say but i have seen ones that were rifles at one time.
The Enfield marked actions were all rifles actions at one time were they not
Who is to say for sure! the barrels scew in and out on most guns.
them afgans can copy near anything given enough time and a few files.

Thanks dingus. I was only stating the law as the CFC seems to show it. Of course there is very little actual description on the legalities of antique firearms anyway. I'm not advocating cutting a barrel shorter although I may in the future built one custom antique status gun with very short barrels.

In reality there is nothing I have ever read anywhere regarding antique barrel length restrictions. Antique means it's not a firearm (although if used in a crime it comes under the criminal code definition as it is over 495 fps.)
