SFRC has the Taurus 24/7 OSS on sale, very attractive price and I'm so tempted to buy one. I have read a lot of second hand opinion. Anyone here really own one and what's your comment. First hand personal experience are welcome.

Don't own one, always thought about it when the 24/7s came out. My problem is that it is completely devoid of support in Canada(let me know otherwise)

That might not be an issue at all for a fun range pistol. However, I like knowing I can get parts/service, mags, holsters....

That could be said of a number of great firearms though. I'm just one of those 'commonality' types.

Thanks for the input, Winz and Wendell. I already done a lot in the internet, and yet not many has personal experience. That's why I start a thread here to see if anyone in this community actually own one.

A friend of mine has one and I've put approx 200 rounds through it over a couple of different trips to the range. I'm guessing he has somewhere in the neighbourhood of 1500 rounds through it and used it to take his Black Badge.

From my limited experience with it, it was accurate, had no FTEs or FTFs using factory ammo and Wolf reloads. He hasn't told me of any issues with it either. It fit my hand ok and I had considered buying one until I had the opportunity to try out a M&P 9 which I ended up buying.

One thing to consider like the others have mentioned is poor support and there aren't a lot of aftermarket accessories for them. I believe he bought his from Epps about a year ago and it was just under $600 before taxes.

Really it comes down to are you gonna buy a Taurus?

Lots of people do and are happy, but if you have any issues what kind of parts availability and support is there?

There are other guns with great reputaions, and lots of parts, and support from reputable companies out there.

My opinion is if it is a safe queen to add to a collection then go for it, but if you want a gun to beat the hell of and use a lot, I would not buy a Taurus.
