anybody here hunt near perth or lanark county? im looking to buy some property their. how is the hunting?? do alot of people from the city hunt up their? how is the fishing??

Their is so many deer there, they have culls in the summer to thin the herds. Some real nice bucks between lanark and Almonte, too. Good luck finding property at a reasonable price though. I know where you can buy 400 acres with watrefront and a log "cottage" for $4 millon

Lots of wildlife and real nice folks. 4 million for that area is a little steep but 400 acres maybe. I herd of a gorgeous camp north of HWY 7 with 160 acres for 150K. Good luck and I am sure you will enjoy.

I hunt the north shore of Big Rideau lake....LOTS of deer....good for waterfowl too.

I hunt near Fergusson Falls. Between Carleton Place and Perth.
Deer were all over last year but this year, not nearly so many.

Lots of Turkey and Ducks and geese as well.

Yes, the Perth show is 21-22 April.

The Belleville show is 15 April.

Both are good shows, in my opinion.
