Hello and congratulations to all,
Is anyone here familiar with this rifle? Will try to describe from memory as it,s not right in front of me:17.5" barrel with Peruvian crest made by FN.Original wood stock.Serial # in the mid 4000,s.Numbers matching(bolt, receiver, stock)
Stock has service wear, but bluing is in nice shape.Has bracket on side of buttstock that someone told me is attachment for scabbard. Is that correct?
Anyone know what the value of this rifle would be? I know,I know PICTURES would be nice!!! Will try to get my son to help with that in the next few day,s.

If it isn't cut down and bore is good they seem to range anywhere from 300-500$ depending on overall quality. Does it have a bayonet?

Sounds like a FN Peruvian Contract Model 1935 carbine. Original calibre was 7.65 Mauser.

The bracket on the right side of the buttstock is a sling attachment for cavalry use, nothing to do with a bayonet scabbard.

Nice rifles, pics would be great.
