Can I legally shoot pests (coyotes going after my friend's horses) on a Sunday in Alberta? The WMU isn't in the Sunday hunting-friendly list, but it's not really hunting, right?
here you go...Can I legally shoot pests (coyotes going after my friend's horses) on a Sunday in Alberta? The WMU isn't in the Sunday hunting-friendly list, but it's not really hunting, right?
Been a horseman all my life---that said I would never say coyotes would never bother a horse. They will if they're taught. I had a young indian lad from the Sarcee reserve(can't spell new name) that was having all kinds of problems with his brood mares. Seems the coyotes were killing the foals as the mare was down foaling. Just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't say it hasn't happened. All he wanted to know was can he kill a coyote on sunday thats giving his friends pony some grief.---Cowboy
So what's the point here? I'm seeing a guy who looking for an excuse to hunt 'yotes on Sunday and is willing to bulls**t about it to the point where he's saying the 'yotes are attacking horses. Well. I happen to know that this is absolute f'n BS. Look if you want to hunt 'yotes or whatever on sunday, check the regs, do it legally but don't come on here looking for absolution telling me that the 'yotes are endangering horses OK.Horses, mules and donkeys will drive off horses and kick the crap out of them....don't try this BS on me. I've got a herd of 30+ horses around home and a healthry population of 'yotes that say otherwise. I do hunt "yotes myself, but not under some lame excuse, period.
