****Pet Load for 300 WSM****

Does anyone have a good pet load for the 300 WSM using only the 150 grain bullet? I've heard that Mag Pro and Reloader 17 are good powders, but haven't used them the the 300 WSM. Any help will be appreciated.

W760 works good in my winchester 24 inch with 180gr. Didn't really find any good loads for the 150 ttsx's I tried.

I loaded 168 gr TSx when I had a wissum over H4350. Very effective, between 3000 and 3100 fps.

With 150's, I would start with W760 (I have not tried IMR4064, but it's been mentioned alot for this bullet weight).

with 165/168s, I would start with VV-N550 and H4350

With 180's, I would start with H4350 and IMR4831.

The most consistently performing powder in my 300 WSM has been H4350 - If I had to stick with only one powder, this would be it. I have personally tried RL17, RL19, H4350, IMR4831, VV-N550, VV-N560, W760 and IMR4350. However, my experience is almost entirely with Barnes bullets (TSXs, TTSXs, and MRXs). I am only now starting to "play" with other bullets.

NOTE: W760 = H414 (same powder)

with varget i shoot 150 gr hornady interbonds into very tiny groups best load i've found yet

61grs RL-15 with 150 TSX and 67.5grs IMR4350 with 155 Bergers. Pretty good results but still a work in progress!
