Peter Stahl 1911

Anybody have ay experience with these 1911`s?A friend of mine is moving out of the country and may not take it if there is too much work involved with importing and exporting.
I am interested in it but have no idea of value.It has a 5 inch barrel,condition looks good but it did have a scope mount so there are holes drilled.It is marked as multi caliber but it is just set up for .45acp.
I know pictures would help but it is not mine and I don`t feel right posting pictures of something that isn`t mine.

I know they are pricey. New ones can be anywhere in the $3000-$4000 range depending on model and condition. They look like really nice pistols.

These guns are premium pieces. The "Multi caliber" aspect was that you could change out the barrel and mag and shoot 22 and 9mm
on the same frame and slide. They also used a linkless barrel similar looking to the Glock. The fact that it is tapped for a scope will bring down the
value some. I have never seen one for sale up here nor seen one in all my years at the range. They were available back in 2007 in the 2000 dollar range
so by now 3-4000 is probably a good estimate. I'd offer up 1500-2000 depending on condition and to compensate for it being tapped.

There are many differences when compared to a regular 1911. The barrel uses a lock up similar to a SIG/Glock. Replacement barrels will be near impossible to find. The Stahl 1911s had a reputation for excellent accuracy. The dual extractor system might be hard to replace too.

Thanks for all the info.
It looks like she may have to get rid of it because importing it to where she is moving will be next to impossible.I will check out it out a little more closely,it may have finish worn off the slide,but I can`t remember as I have only seen it once.
