I just ordered a PGW Coyote from Ross at PGWDTI and it will take a few weeks before I'll take delivery. While I'm waiting for the rifle to be delivered I thought that I'd check to see if I could find a good starting recipe. The rifle is reamed for 308 M852 Match.

The VAST majority of my shooting will be at my club which is limited to 300m but eventually I would like to stretch her legs out to 800 - 1,200m.

So to begin with, what recipes (brass, primers, powders, bullets) would you recommend for 300m.

Thanks in advance.

For 200 & 300m targets would the Sierra Match King 155gr bullet be a good choice?

It sounds like the Sierra Match King 175gr bullet would be an excellant choice for 600m+.

Or should I just keep things simple and use the 175gr bullets for all yardages.

Your comments on the above two SMK bullets would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If the rifle doesn't bughole 175 smks and Varget, then it's a very rare .308 indeed. the 155's will work too, also with Varget, and will run pretty much as well or better than the 175's all the way out to 1000yrds, but there's just something about the 175 and a .308 tactical masterpiece like the Coyote.

In all honesty, finding a load that works well in this gun should be about as easy as falling off a log.
