PGW Timberwolf made the C-21 Prohib List

Back in the early 2000's I made a couple in .408 Chey Tac, it is capturing those rifles, not our .338 Lapua version. They also list our M18 because of .460 WBY, same goes for some LRT2 stuff of which I can count them on one hand. The G11 is on that same list, what does that tell you?

Of those two rifles, one is in Australia and the other ended up in California with a US Army fellow who was sadly KIA in Iraq.

No one noticed "Mauser Sporter" on the list?

Yes, I saw that. Pretty generic and stupid. This would cover a lot of hunting firearms. I know that the Liberals are crazy but this is beyond ridiculous. That said, within our hunting party, I have been arguing for years that this would happen one day, and here we are…

I honestly think it will be the whim of the RCMP or Liberals if they feel like making any distinction between named rifles and what they are actually chambered in. And I have little faith it will be in our favour.

You need to look at what they are chambered in.

Actually, no - if they're named, they're gone. As an example the "1908 Brazilian Mauser" which was only ever made in 7mm Mauser. Is anyone really pushing those little pills at 4500 fps to make the 10Kj threshold? I doubt that. However, there it is, right before "Mauser Sporter" which covers a hell of a lot of territory depending on how you look at it. Remember, the folks writing this stuff don't actually care if they ban a 22 single shot now, or they do it later - it's their goal to ban everything and if it's a little illogical, so be it.

The No.1 is listed under the 10,000 joules category. The 460 Weatherby for example. Not all number ones. At least that’s how I interpret it.

In principle I agree, their goal was likely only the >10k J guns. But I don't see anything that actually limits it to those calibers...

Much like with 12ga shotguns w/ chokes exceeding the 20mm restriction in the OIC (notice how the new amendment includes a definition for where to measure so 12ga's are excluded), I think they ####ed up.

You could be right. Who knows. It was listed under the 10KJ category but no chamberings we’re listed. I feel sick to my stomach.

It's a catch all, there is multi cal rifles on the list. Just because the current barrel/chamber won't exceed 10k joules doesn't mean the action is not "capable"

If you could just put a different barrel on to get out of the prohib status, everyone would do that
