PGW Timberwolf or Desert tech 338 ... which to buy?

I did a long range course with C/S66 last fall and I got to handle both of these rifles in .338. I am completely torn as to what is the “better” platform. If I was to stick with one caliber I would go with the PGW but as I think shooting .338 day in and day out would drain my bank account rather quickly I like the fact that you could turn your Desert Tech into a .308 in 30 seconds and therefore stay out of the poorhouse.

DaverII is it in 338lapua? Pic? Experience ?

6MT yes i had a pgw 50 but sold it & wanting to try 338lapua.

I may contact Ross & have a shorty in 338lapua built but want to try these DT rifles possibly.

Mine is not .338 *currently*

.308 and .260 rem.

I will be picking up the .338 conversion soon.

I have however shot .338 and .375 cheytac in DT rifles.

Every one I have shot has been phenomenal.

I Bought a covert in .308, the barrel is slightly longer than the guard. Its short enough I can put it in a back pack if I need. But I put the .338 barrel in it and have a slightly lighter rifle than if you were to get the regular chassis. I can't tell you which is better. But I love my SRS. Im probably going to pick up a .65cm barrel soon, to keep trigger time cost effective. Also, i've never shot any other really high $$ rifles, or customs. But the SRS trigger is far better than any others I've used.

I have two Desert Techs, the SRS-A1 and the covert with 338LM, 7WSM, 308 in the factory barrels plus a 21" custom 300 WM and a 16.5" custom 308.

These platforms are awesome to the point that my other custom rifles are just safe queens as I shoot nothing but my DT's these days!
