PGWDTI = Accuracy

Yes when you switch to Lapua brass there will be a pressure increase.While the PGW action is super strong it would be wise to back off a couple of grains and start again.
Do you weigh your Win. brass? If you take ten random cases and weigh them and do the same with your Lapua brass you will find much more consistent weights and this generally gives more consistent accuracy.
Also good on you for picking up a superb made in Canada product.

what about a range report at 300 +

Viper, not much to report. I still have not played with the seating depth. I'm still at 2.8" COAL, for ease of mag loading. The rifle shoots as good as I can ask for. Very happy.

Load is 155 scenar with 47.7 varget and win brass.

First two pics are at 300 yards 5 shots....and yes both of the outside shots were the last fired in each group...:bangHead:

Yea, I plan to back off a little when I switch to Lapua brass. Although I can't complain about how the Winchester brass is performing.

Thanks Toolman. What is the average group at 500.

Thanks again

Not sure, so far the only group I have shot is the one in the pic @ 1.6". It is a long walk to the 500 yard line in the snow. I was also out with another CGN'r that day and we were more focused on what he was doing. As soon as I see another day with some warmth I will be out again.

Toolman was nice enough to take some time and show me a great deal of new things this day(reloading and shooting) Was my first time at the 500 yard line and we were having a good laugh at my scope windage adjustments:redface: It was very nice to see what a huge difference there is in top of the line gear from factory stuff. Thanks very much for day Toolman!:D I am putting money away for a PGW rifle as we speak. Cant wait for the day when I can get into the top end stuff! Ps: I was feeling the walks too!

Word of warning to all the new guys, don't try one unless you are willing to get one. They make a regular rifle seem like so much less!:D Nice shooting Toolman.

Thanks Bud......:cheers:

Weather looks like it might be warming up a little in a couple of weeks......I think another range session is in order and I will have my chrony squared away this time.

Another range session sounds like a great idea. My 20moa mounts and rings should be in before that! I have to get you on my rifle at the 500 yard line. I want to see how much better it can do;) I do have a spot for this summer too that may be over the 1000 yard mark. Was doing a little distance caculations on google maps(not winter accessible) and will need some help on the windage:redface: We will have to make a day of that too when things warm up.
