Hey!

I am looking into buying my first precision/ Tacticool rig. I am considering something in 308 from Alberta Tactical or the coyote from PGW. Can anyone who owns either the coyote or even its big brother the timberwolf chime in and let me know how you like the platform. Is there any drawbacks with the rifle, or anything you didn't like about reliability. I know it is a "to each his own", but I would definitely like to hear peoples thoughts on the coyote.

Thanks!

Seriously, use the search function - it will help you a lot. Nutshell re the Coyote : Reliability is 100%. All I've owned and heard of being owned are half-minute or better. At first I wasn't a fan of the 8 round magazine ( preferring the AICS 10 rounder ) but I understand why PGW chose to use the 8 round and I've also gotten used to it. Rick at ATRS also build a very good rifle - has done two for me.

Thoughts?

Yes, I certainly think about it a lot and will definitely get one. Eventually I mean. That kind of money buys a lot of ammo for a cheaper rig that can still outshoot me 100% of the time at my current level.

One day...

Here's a 5 round group I punched at 100 yards when doing load development a couple years ago. The rifle can shoot far better than I can. I am still blown away by the quality of this rifle every time I pick it up and the service from PGW is second to none.

Northman, the plan is to stretch it out to a mile this summer! I sure enjoyed shooting your Garand that day. We'll have to do that again one day.

Cheers, YC

I have a a Coyote in 7 WSM and love it. I have also had ATRS rebuild a Rem 700 and it was a shooter too(in .300 Win Mag). In my case I would put the Coyote first between the two but only because of the build itself, not who built it.

Thanks for the responses guys.

FYI, I have done the search function several times, but the threads I saw did not answer my questions - Maybe I'm just computer illiterate.

Program is OnTarget and it's on line, you can download a trial copy and cost is about $12.oo after trial period. Just scan target and when it comes up on screen and rest is easy.

:DGet the Coyote you will be very happy:D I have owned two Timberwolfs on my second wanted a folder and have the LRT-3 .50BMG excellent quality you can not go wrong with PGW! Service is very good they really take care of you.
