PH-4 Target Sight Value, Please Weigh In!

Gentlemen, I need to get an idea of the current market value for a PH4 sight. Please let me know your opinions. I have a figure from a recent Ebay sale that went for:

Parker Hale PH4 sight (#300269559973), US $285.00

I know these are quite rare compared to the more common PH5C and others, but Ebay auction winning bids are often highly inflated.

This is a photo of the item in question, the flash made it look a little rusty in places but it isn't at all to the naked eye.
It's in very good shape, dog hair and all!

Personnaly, I'd keep it on one of your rifles. Unless you have many of these sights. I think it's one of those things that when you sell it, you don't get much for it, and when you need one, you can never find it.

About $100 is what they are worth, maybe $150 if in VG+++ shape. Ebay has been silly lately on parker hale sights. Seen $300 for a 5C?? Nuts...just nuts!

I don't think I've seen one for less than $200 in a long time and I've seen them listed for over $300 a couple of times in the last year.

I would clean up the polished areas and dunk it in kerosene for a few days. Cleaning something up doesn't take much effort and makes it look like more than a piece of junk that's been kicking around neglected and which you've decided to make $$ from.

The burred screws are a distraction, but I would go $150 for a sight like that.
They aren't as solid as the 5 series, but a neat item.
