I am sure you will have no problems with that combo.

Just don't push them to fast they are not the toughest bullet around not saying they won't work saying that I would actually recommend the 350gr Swift A-Frame, it is an excellent bonded core partitioned bullet that I load to apprximately 2050fps in my 1895GS and I easily group 6 shots into 6" @ 150 yards shooting of the hood of my truck and using ghost ring sights.

It is definitely a little more expensive than a Rem 405gr bullet but well worth it in my opinion.

If I could only have one bullet for my 45-70's the Swift A-Frame would be the bullet.

They work just fine when they are pushed around 1900fps, I have seen it first hand on more than one occasion.

My 35 whelan is a M70 Win with air guaged Douglas semi-hvy barrel contour. I love it.

Actually that M70 is a push feed wearing a 24" semi-hvy Douglas barrel in 35 whelen. Its a sweet piece of kit!
