I just got a Long Branch No.4 Mk1* dated 1943 in unfired condition. I'm in love. Just like the one I had in the Canadian Rangers except better.

Here's my pride: 4 digit serial # 1934 vintage WWII bringback TT30, 110% all original completed with 2 original mags serial numbered to the pistol and 4 rds. of pre-1942 made WWII ammo(brought back with the gun)...................................................

I spoke with the previous owner who acquired the gun from the WWII vet's widow...I was told that the original owner was in the Navy during WWII and that's where he's got the pistol.
The pistol was kept in the German holster which I wasn't able to identify...That's pretty well all I know...

any German acceptance stamps?

My "Big Three" (Gewehr 71/84, 88/05 and 98b) and my Kar98a, all are unique and I have never seen any others like them. They are very special to me as the 71/84 was issued to an Infantry replacement regiment (Ersatz) and that is what my great grandfather was apart of for most of the war. The 88/05 was attached to an Infantry regiment recruiting depot and is something that my great grandfather would have fired in training and the Gewehr 98 was a possible rifle he used during the war. She is also Weimar and Third Reich marked, what German service rifle can say that ?

My C96 also tops the list as it is likely what my great grandfather may have used during WW1 as he held the rank of Vizefeldwebel (Senior NCO).

As for my Kar98k, it is what my grandfather would have used and it saw service on the Eastern front. Although she is a RC, all her parts are of the correct early war period.

My SKS is a beautiful milsurp and the best $200 I ever spent as I received every piece that comes along with the SKS. How can you beat that ?
