photo study of K31 versus K11 Swissies

like better?....I wouldn't want one of them to feel bad...

the K31 should be the better shooter...longer barrel and longer sight radius but I haven't had a chance to prove that
 
Have a K31, and I actually am rushing to get a K11 carbine because they are becoming harder and harder to find each month that passes.
 
Fairly rough looking. You are aware that is a (Infantrie) Gewehr 1911 manufactured in 1917 (if I read the first two digits of the serial number correctly) not a K11 (Karabiner 1911). Just making sure you are aware of the difference (one being the size of the K31 the other being a long rifle).
 
Thanks^^^ you're right. It should be shorter and have wood between the rear sight and the action. I'll check before it gets shipped. Because the description says its the K11 carbine.
 
Recently the importers have been calling the I.G. 1911 and I.G. 96/11 the K11 or K11 long rifle just because they don't know there product. They also tend to call the K11 carbines K11s as well just to add to the confusion. Definitely a case where you have to be aware of what you are looking at.
 
Thanks a lot. Just asked them to confirm whether it is the carbine or not, and they didn't say. Just replied stating a refund has been issued....
 
Found another Dealer with the (actual) carbines in stock!
They're a tiny bit cheaper, but no free shipping like the other place :(
