Photos Emerge of the new FBI Glock 17M

Well I would say that: No finger grooves, Ambi slide release, Flared mag well, & G42/43 trigger spring and block assembly = the new Gen5 which will be released in 2017 to the general public

Recon I'd find room in the safe for one...like the slightly flared mag well...and doesn't the frame look a little beefed up too...

Meh, I don't mind the finger grooves, and the rest of the upgrades just sound like a beta test for what will undoubtedly become generation 5.

I'll stick with old reliable gen3.

The current Gen 4's already have an internally flared magwell so thats not new. The biggest thing that I can see is that they went back to the old "2 pin" frames which is odd because the "3 pin" frames of the Gen 3 and 4 were to stiffen the frame which was flexing too much. Maybe its a more rigid polymer on the M's.

I think it has something to do with G42/43 trigger and spring assembly I dont think there was enough room for it.

I literally just got my Glock USA gen4 not too long ago... Slightly serious question: should I consider selling it now?

Are the Gen4's good to go?

Mac from Military Arms Channel got a lot more pics, as well as hands on...for those interested. Internals are different in many specs, so I'm interested to see if they keep these changes in the Gen 5 guns. If anyone was to adopt the Apple model I'm sure it would be Glock.

Thank you!

What's all this I'm reading about finger grooves? Why are people making such a big deal about them?

Finger gloves are pretty useless and if you have small hands, they gets in the way when trying to grip higher. If you have big hands or chubby fingers then it's a non issue.

I really hope they fixed the flex in the trigger bar on the gen 5. They sort of addressed it on the Gen4 with the little bump on the firing pin block tab.
