Getting a little quiet around here again, so here are a few carbines you don't see every day.

Enjoy.

nuh uh....he just likes to tease

Not teasing just photographically challenged. All I have is an older model compact digital camera. I have tried various lighting/closeups etc but they never turn out.:(

The best I can do is the old "lean them against the fence in natural light and click".

Besides, if I bought a camera (and a lawnmower as Klunk has kindly pointed out in the past) I would not have money for the important stuff.

I like to put up pics because that is the best part of these forums, I love looking at everyones stuff.

Heres a couple of carbines for you....both restricted unfortunately. They are the only carbines in my collection.

M1A1.jpg

M1A1; everything origional except for the previous owners attempt to de-restrict it with a rifled extension on the end of the barrel.

sterlingpolicecarbine.jpg

Sterling Mk4 (PC) Loads of fun, lots of nostalgia. While it looks best with the 30(5) round curved sterling mag, it works fine on sten mags as well.

Hahahah....well, you DO need a lawnmower...or sheep:D

I think I like the Jap 44 best....damn near as rare as the 33/40

I looooooove that arisaka carbine! You've got some nice pieces there. As for the lawnmower, just postwhore your way up to 1000 posts, and CGN will give you a goat for free!

as promised, here are the pics of the milsurps i have which have carbine/karabine in the title :p

eventually i will add many more m1 carbines, if only the right serial numbers will show up!

We had to discontinue the "free goat" promotion after Klunk killed it.

Nice stuff. What is the scoop on the K98ks? Refurbs/original? Look great.

I've had the Type 44 around 20 years, I bought it while I was in Gagetown  , it was about $150.00. Doesn't seem to be much interest in Arisakas in Canada.

the k98k's, my pride and joys, the 2 from the bottom are both from 1941, one is a duv, all macthing, right down to the fireing pin, the other a obendorf portugese contract also all matching right down to the fireing pin, the top k98k is a yugo refurb byf42.

ive always wanted a g33/40, but i have yet to actually see one.

but right now im hunting down m1 carbines with serial numbers in the 52''' range, yet the find one

howcome you ask.

because both my greatgranfather and granfather picked up m1 carbines with 52**** series serial numbers from an allied airdrop in Denmark, where they fought the german occupation. I have their papers showing the serial numbers, they also managed to "liberate" some P.38's which then became their sidearms after the war was over.
