Thats a sweet looking gun, do you find the laminated stock on the heavy side. I have a laminated Ruger and i wish it was lighter.

only target Ive shot since I put it into the laminate stock is a 4 shot at 300 yards with Speer 87 gr. Hollowpoints over 45.0 grs. RL15

I think it's around 3" to 4" (I never bothered to measure)

This laminate hand a slender forend and isnt as heavy as 'usual' laminates. I think it weighs 39 ounces, compared to 45 ounces for a Boyds laminate.

The contour of the barrel is a 'magnum sporter' about .650" at the muzzle.

And no, it's not too pretty to take hunting.

Did you have to hog out the barrel area of the stock to fit the thicker barrel?
You know how I feel about the mountainrifle LSS.

already had it pretty much hogged out, as my m700 7saum rode in this stock before I sold the barreled action last spring. I just had to open it up a bit more in the shank of the tube.

A beefier LSS Mtn Rifle, that's what I wanted and thats what I got built.
