Pic request Canadian legal FNX 9mm

I think the FNX 9 and the FNS 9 with a Canadian legal barrel just started showing up. They are fantastic pistols.

CHF barrels, traditional rifling, good case support (40cal), ergonomics and I believe a lifetime warranty. I am not sure if there is a Canadian warranty depot however...

It is too bad our dollar sucks. They are easily worth $580-$600, however at $700 - I can resist.

IMO, the FNS series as well as the FNX series of pistols are very under rated. Extremely reliable, very well made, and great ergonomics.

Shot a fnx 40 in Florida last year, man that thing would group nice......I love the trigger pull, double act. ,and the decocker...would buy one..

Hope that shows you what you were hoping to see.

Those pics are the FNX Tactical 45, not the FNX 9mm the OP was looking at.

Not that there is anything thing wrong with them, I love mine :D

Rumor has a 9mm version of the Tactical being considered by FN.

Hey Folks here's a pic of my FNX9 , the barrel extends 1/4 inch past the slide. In my Safariland concealment holster ( For IDPA ) the barrel does not extend past the holster. I also have a Fab thumb lever holster made for the Springfield XD that fits in nice and locks in. The only issue is the trigger guard is not fully shrouded thus allowing when cocked the trigger can be manipulated while in the holster. Thinking about fixing that with an additional piece of Kydex.

Anyways this is an amazing pistol and love it as my new IDPA pistol this year.

I was going to post a picture of mine but Rush beat me to it. Exactly the same, even the holster.
Its a fantastic pistol. Very nice grip and quite accurate. The saftey/ decocker works in the same fashion as an HK USP v1. The DA pull isnt too long or mushy and the SA pulln is nice and crisp. Recoil is as light as can be expected for a polymer framed pistol. They say the barrel unlocks later in the rearward travel of the slide and this is supposed to increase accuracy and reduce recoil. Im not sure I experienced these effects. My only beef is the small protrusion on the front of the magazines. Its annoying when it comes to using plastic/ kydex mag holders. Over all I would recommend this pistol. I'm not a huge fan of striker fired pistols and as far as polymer framed, hammer fired pistols there's not many offering. There's the FNX, the HKs and I believe there is the CZ p7 duty. Of those this is a great option. I'll have to shoot it a few more times to decide if I like in more then the HK offerings.

I thoroughly enjoy this pistol. This was my first polymer pistol purchase. I am a CZ fan and still love them. But when looking for a new pistol I decided to try a polymer. And since I carry a M&P 9 as my duty pistol I am accustomed to the poly frames now but still wanted a hammer fired pistol. The FNX9 had everything I personally wanted. In IDPA I am competing in ESP with this pistol and I start off cocked and locked. Also being a completely ambidextrous controls on this pistol gives it an advantage over most other brands.

As for the mags and mag pouches the usual generic ones don't work very well. I plan in the future trying my hand at some custom kydex for them. But the best option off the shelf is probably HSGI Taco pouches. Check DS Tactical in New Westminster for them

Pirate604 as for recoil have you tried 147gr? If you don't reload and getting ammo off the shelf get a few boxes of 147gr. It's not as fast so it's far less snappy then 115gr. In a good comparison I loaded 5x 115gr and 5x 147gr alternating in the magazine and it's really noticeable.
