So, if after all the resources redirected and burned on VI Marmot recovery projects actually produces a viable population of animals, and not just easy snacks for bears, cougars and bald eagles, will we the hunters whose license fees payed for a lot of the recovery program, be allowed to blast the crap out of surplus critters.

I'm sure one 'em(the middle one) was'nt feeling too good,cause when I dropped him off beside the 1st one to go look for the 3rd,I came back(after 3min. or so),The little bugger was staring at me,so I had to finish him off.
I felt kinda bad for the guy..................................but then that feeling went!
 
That looks like fun Huntsman! Must have been fun popping those little buggers with the BP.

I was out shooting gophers on the weekend using my lever action Colt .45, what a blast! Nothing like smoking gophers with 300 grains of lead :D
 
I overreacted sorry. I did some research a while ago into the Vancouver island marmot and I will protect them to the death. We have so few left here.
The number is climbing however..
