Hi, I'd like to add a rear aperture sight to my Savage 110 Hog Hunter. I'm wondering if there are any options out there for a picatinny-mounted one? It needs to be click/detent adjustable though. NECG make one for example, but it's not click adjustable. I'd like the option of being able to throw a scope on without removing the sight assembly, if the right product exists. Otherwise I'll go for the Lyman 57.

Get tge NECG , set it up and leave it- that is how a hunting aperture is supposed to work.
You can then take it off any time you want .

The LPA Sights BAR11W seems to fit my needs well. I'll probably go with that. Click adjustable and not as finicky to make the adjustments as the NECG one. Figured I'd post this update in case anyone is looking for the same thing down the road.

I know that skinner sights make a picatinny rail with a intergerated peep.

UTG makes one similar. They face similar issues. The sight ear protectors. It will require you to mount the scope mega super high, for the scope to clear it. So it is either scoped, or irons.
Unless you convert it to a scout rifle. But another issue that you will run into.. With the rear sight being higher than the front sight was designed, you will run into zeroing issues.
I know on my TOZ 22 with the UTG that I suggested. At 25yard I have to aim lower.

Thank you for all the replies and tips. I'm familiar with the Skinner, Williams and XS options, but yes the need for click adjustments without having to unscrew and retighten anything is a limiting factor.
The sight isn't intended as a backup and it's my only do-it-all rifle. So I'd like something that adjusts easily, with a certain level of precision and adjustments I can keep track of.
Regarding the height/zeroing issue, I'll replace the front post as needed once I've done some testing.
If and when I choose to mount a scope at some point, I can pop the sight off if necessary to avoid mounting it too high. The base of the BAR11W is designed for quick fixing/releasing and the adjustment screws are hardened, so hopefully they'll hold their settings.

What caliber is this rifle that you would need to keep adjusting POI? I can see the appeal for a plinker with a rainbow trajectory like a pistol round, but a medium bottleneck cartridge like a .308 will be set and forget for 50-250 yards once you're dialed in with a hunting round you like.
My vote goes for the XS version, and I've had nearly all the ones listed. It's solid steel and you can get it in low or high.
