Went to EPPS to day to have a look at a Tavor & came home with a CX4 in .40 cal.
My wife likes it so that meant I had to bring it home with me.
Just have to get out and give her a try soooon!

I've had one for several years now and feed it pretty much anything I want without problems. No special measures and lead or jackets are good. I have the 96 pistol so one mag fits all. Or rather twelve mags fit both...EOTECH on top. Just make sure you use the drills that work on the pistol for mag change and slide stop. Otherwise it will be clumsy. She'll love it, no recoil or jump.

Congrats on the new gun I have one in 9mm they are blast to shoot. Now you got something for the wife, what are you getting for yourself?:)

I have one rebarreled in non-restricted (9mm flavor).

Hoot to shoot.

Just go very, very easy on lubrication, or you'll gum it up and get ftf/fte.

Even the cheap mags work good for me, but as always, YMMV.

This one is non restricted as well. That is the only reason I got it. Dont want to be bothered by going to the club to shoot it.

For now Ill just have to be happy shooting her new toy. But I did really like the Tavor & still want to have a look at a Kel-Tec SU-16. Something in .223 would be nice.

Only got to put 10 rounds through her today but I like it! Recoil is more than expected but still very mild. Sites are chunky but sufficient for its intended use.
Not the most accurate thing but dont think the new barrel is broke in yet. I will have to burn off a 100 or so rounds before i make that call.

Accuracy...remember it's a pistol cartridge. Don't expect magic. I use an EOTEC because of the small iron sights. I recommend an optic if even a small red dot.

Im looking more for fun than driving tacks with the CX4.

I do have to look into the trigger mod SOON.
The safety is also very hard to manipulate, almost two fingers to push it.

I have one in 9mm & 45ACp. Great carbines. Worry free and a fun to shoot. I knock down plates at 100m easily with both. You will be pleased. Enjoy!

I've had one of these for a few years in .40. So accurate it's actually boring to shoot knowing all your shots are going in the same friggin hole! ;)

One of the guys at work suggested threading the barrel for a compensatory. Not a bad idea but will the. 40 slug clear a standard AR compensator? The 1/2 x 28 thread might also leave little room between the bore & base of the threads. I'll have to do some measuring this weekend.

picked one up again the other week in 9mm, missed having one around. one of the first guns I ever bought, good job Beretta.

Just one thing. the newest version has the following on the receiver, just above the trigger, both sides...anyone else have this?

spoke with Butch at Beretta USA and they said it was a "running change" to the design, meant to keep fingers (esp. in gloves) from accidentally activating the safety.

just wanted to see what everyone thought.

ive got one in 40 with non restricted barrel its a blast to shoot and very accurate out to about 150 yards at 25 and 50 yards i wouldent want anybody shooting at me with it

My whole family loves the gun. 150+ rounds with no issues

I really need the sierra papa trigger mod & some 20 round mags pinned to 10 would look sweet.
Can any one direct me to a shop that can get these items for me?

Nifty mod they did to the original. I think I commented on CGN elsewhere that was something that could be improved (safety can be tapped accidentally).

I actually picked one of these up today from a friend. He bought it new and couple years ago, and we had a custom NR barrel (heavier profile + parkerized) made for it by Herron Arms. Only fired about 25-30 rounds through it,and into the safe it went. I was never really into it when he bought it, but it dropped a 150lb wild boar in its tracks with a 147gr Talon...which brings it up a few rungs on the ladder.

It will look good beside it's bast@rd step-brother - Hi-Point 995 TS NR carbine ;-)
