Picked up a few things to get into reloading

So I've never reloaded before but have decided to get into casting for my Lee Enfield .303. I've been looking at buying a press and a few dies for sizing, priming and such. I was cruising Kijiji the other day and found the following for sale.

Lee Reloading Starter Kit:
Challenger Press
Powder Measure (I believe it's the Perfect Powder Measure)
lee Scale (accurate to 1/20 of a grain).

Total for all three was $45 in new condition ($60 shipped to me in Calgary).

I figured the press alone was worth the $45 since Amazon sells it on their US site for $68.00. Still need to pick up a few dies for it though.

Is this a good score?

Uh, yeah.
Assuming it is the newer version of the Challenger, it's actually a heck of a press. Did it come with the primer arms?
The Perfect Powder measure is really good with stick powders. Some will leak fine ball powders ( mine did) but that can be fixed by lapping it. Not a big chore.
The scale is accurate and very sensitive. Not the most user friendly, but certainly usable.

Now to piece together all the little bits and bobs to go along with it all.

There's no way you'll beat $60 retail. Only downside is Lee's warrantee is only 2 years. You can load a lot of ammo in 2 years.
If you're casting, you'll need to slug the barrel first.

Thanks Sunray. The barrel has been slugged. .3125 Bought the mould and handles on Friday, Lyman 314299.
 
I use a case length trimmer by Lee. Works great in a drill. :) I do however have a RCBS trimmer, but I hate having to set it up every time I change different cartridges.
