Picked up a GSG-15

I wonder what the one Civil Advantage had wrong with it. He gave a pretty scathing review about it.

I have one and I really like it - the gun itself is very reliable and accurate

The magazines I have however are horrible - its like the spring isn't strong enough to force the round up and also they may be slightly too tight at the rear too

I saw that review in my research. I think it must have just been a dud. Alot of his complaints where in stark contrast to many other reviews I read and watched. My build quality is good. Out of my 400 rounds I put through it every one fed and fired except 2. One of those 2 was an ammo failure. I'm going to order some mags next week from Blue Line Solutions. Then I will stress test and try to make it jam. I'd like to see how fast I can put 100 rounds through, and if rapid firing that many will cause issues.

Hey Sniffer, my mags are feeding great but I've seen on the internet somewhere, a guy had feeding issues and it turned out to be the tabs on the side of the mag that help with loading were too tight & "gripping" the mag instead of sliding along like they should. Hope this helps.

The rifle itself is great, the mags suck. Well, the mag SPRING sucks, it shoudl be stronger. I loosened the tabs on mine, it worked for a couple of mags but not all (I have a dozen mags) Next I'm going to try opening them up and smoothing them out with some sandpaper.

Bipod is no problem but not a super shorty one, as the mag will be too long.

I've had an issc for about a year or two now and it took a lot of tinkering to get it to fire properly. I've had to modify firing pin springs and hammer springs and loctite bolts that tend to loosen off internally. Now I only get light strikes every 75-100 magazine is a problem as I get failure to feed every second magazine. They don't pop up like they should. But it's still one of my fave .22s
