Picked up a new Uberti El Patrone

Ah Colt... why pay $650 for a nice SAA, when you can pay $1800+ for the same gun with a pony stamped on it?

I agree. I can understand and appreciate the collectability of an origional Colt SAA but anyone who gives a guy over buying a Ruger or Uberti is just a gun snob.

If Colt made their guns in-house, I could MAYBE see them charging double, but instead they charge TRIPLE and assemble and mark their guns with parts from the same Uberti factory in Italy. I think they just pray on ppl who do not know the difference. I have had real colts, they are no better made than a nicer model Uberti. YMMV.
