I picked it up today, and I'm gonna take a case of ammo of assorted ammo to the range this week.....and well you know the rest;)
How did, or does it work for you? Is there something else that acts as a better flash hider and muzzle brake combo?

I can't think of any other combo's, but I know for a fact that the Smith Enterprise G6 Vortex is the best flash hider, clinically proven!

I replaced my G6 w/ a Noveske KX3 as well; muzzle blast is directed downrange and away from anyone shooting next to you. Recoil is probably lighter, but I can't necessarily tell. I haven't noticed any increase in reliability, but, of course, I go by the "Drill the gas port" method of fixing short barrelled AR 15 problems.

Mine works great! Gun functioned fine before and looks 10x cooler after!! Sure to turn heads - and not to make complaints about ringing ears!!

Oh boy, here we go again....

The KFH is not bad as a flash hider & and isn't really a muzzle brake. It's main purpose was to increase the reliability of short barrelled ARs (without messing with the gas port, which is a LAST RESORT!!!! ).

It works by increasing back pressure and tricks the rifle into thinking it has a longer barrel/gas system.

The KFH works best on barrells 11.5" or shorter. On longer barrels they are pointless.

My 10.5" LMT upper has run flawlessly with the Krink FH.

There is NO muzzle rise and recoil is the same or less. The muzzle blast is directed forward of the shooter. At the last Tac match I shot, I was told that my Krink wasn't nearly as loud as some of the Phantom type FHs being used.

SKBY.

try:
heavy buffer
extra power extractor
FA bolt carrier

as for the KFH/KX3, they are great for reducing noise around other shooters and the guys appreciate it

So where is the best place to get a KFH . My 7.5 Bushy works flawlessly ( but have never run it to the extent of my regular AR's like in the recent Tac Response classes....As James Yeager said: "This class will show you what works and what doesn't!) I am looking to help re-direct the muzzle blast / concussion away from fellow shooters ... considerate shooter that I am.

Regards,

I'm certainly not the first to do it; the internet is full of information!

Danny, if the rifle is short stroking, the first and last item you list would compound the problem, effectively turning the rifle into a single-shot, and the second wouldn't make a difference.

I agree that there are other methods of fixing problems, but the best method, the most effective and efficient method of fixing SHORT STROKING (The most common problem plaguing short-barrelled AR15's, due to a lack of gas), is to drill the gas port to a larger dimension.

You know how I know this? Because there's a range in diameters. Colt uses this range. Diemaco used this range. Goddamned DPMS uses this range. I'm sure you can too.

Instead of wasting $200 on an FA Carrier, $70 on a heavier buffer, or $20 on a D-Fender, why not spend $8 on a #42 Carbide drill bit?

But we're getting off topic here.

Any of you guys running a krink on the longer barreled guns (ie. 16" barrel). My gun has been super reliable but I would like to redirect the muzzle blast down range.

The Krink is designed for short barrels and is pointless on longer barrels.I would go to a Smith Vortex for anything 14.5" and longer.

Well, the Krink would still direct muzzle noise and blast downrange, regardless of it's reliability boost. A Vortex will kill all flash, but I didn't notice anything in regards to muzzle blast reduction. It was pretty on-par with an A2 for that.

It'll look dorky, but if you want something to redirect everything downrange, then the Krink is for you. Give a shout out to Sigger and order one! The Pig is pretty hard to say no to. :D

Hell I agree with the logic here, gas port reaming to tune is pretty standard stuff. And now I'll take cover...
