I picked up my new rifle today, a new CZ 452 in 22 LR, after doing some long research into my first bolt action rifle.

I picked a Bushnell 3 - 9 x 40 scope and placed it on, however, the mounts I purchased are just tall enough for the bolt to operate. I will have to pick up taller scope mounts in the next few days.

Sadly, I have to wait an entire week before I can head up north to break it in and sight in the scope :(

oh well, good things come to those who wait :p

put up pics a little later tonight if I can find my camera

The scope mounts I have on their right now, are just tall enough for the bolt to open / close and to remove it when necessary. I will definitely take a look at Burris highs or B-Square Lynx rings, thanks for the tip :D

Why do you want to change scope mounts if you can remove the bolt? Does it interfere with your fingers operating the bolt handle?

The clearance between the bolt and the scope is about 2mm if that, so it does interfere a little bit. it would be nice just have a little more space,
but yeah, she's a real beauty :D

a few more days then up to Huntsville, and put a few rounds down range :p

Beautiful tiger striped wood. You went with the heavy barrel, I went with the Lux with open sights but in hindsight thinking should have gone heavy barrel. I have the same scope and using the rings it came with, couple rounds and you will likely be used to it, would try it like that first.

Use the ring money for a .20 or .17 cleaning rod, you may find other rods just a little to thick for the CZ452 bore. The Dewey one is sure nice.
