Picked up my tabbed bolt carrier from Checkpoint usa today. How are the welds?

I sent them an email and pictures of their work and notified it was much lower then expectations. I'll see what they do if anything at all. I do still find it strange as Czechpoint puts out some of the best VZ 58s over the border. Hopefully this was just a bad one and not a reflection of everything they manufacture.

Anyone who knows anything about welding will know that is a terrible job!
The weld needs to penetrate both pieces of metal for it to maintain any strength over time. The build up of material is completely unnecessary if you have a proper weld.
That weld looks like it is being held together by the added material which will not hold up over time. It might as well have been soldered in place!

I received an email from them today. They explained the bolts are unfinished and some grinding should be done to finish them. They also offered a return plus shipping should I decide to send it back.
I may end up keeping it as a spare, it was a pretty small investment. I'm sill undecided.
