picked up sig 229

picked up my Sig 229 this morning - 106mm barrel - this is the only way we Canadians can have these toys - Still looks great since the barrel doesn't protrude from the slide all that much ( reminds me of my 92f )

Can anybody tell me if Sig will continue making this barrel length for this model??

From what I've been told there's only 50 of these that came into Canada.

It looks awesome !! I'm waiting for mine to transfer right now :rockOn:
 
I've got the 229SAS and love it... I just dropped a 19# hammer spring and 17# recoil spring and it feels way better (as if it wasn't good enough before).

Congrats on the 229!

This is my first SIG and I am now a SIG fanboi ;)

Actually most restricted firearms clear very fast as long as they have nothing to do with Ontario; quickest for me was 1 day (BC to BC) :)

Longest was BC to Ontario 5 weeks.
 
I fondled a 229 at Al Simmons... I would've bought one if they had them in 9mm, but those aren't coming around for a little longer while and I decided on a CZ75 SP01 in the meantime.

The 229 is awesome, congrats.

As far as transfers go, I just got off the phone with Ontario CFO... they're "backed up"... surprise surprise. They're always friggin backed up. I guess thats how things go when you live in the province with most firearms and people :(

Looks like Toronto is getting some good karma.. or the govt loves P229s :D

Mine is cleared and getting shipped today!!! 1-2 days for transfer! Hope my AR goes this fast, hehe
