I have the 4200(T) 6x24x50, (on HB .223) the 3200(T) 5x15x50 (on an AR) and the Falcon 4.5x18x56 (an orphan scope now currently on a rimfire). To my eyes the 4200 is the best in all categories ( brightness, clarity, magnification etc ) the 3200 is brighter than the Falcon but has less magnification. Both the 3200 and 4200 have less internal adjustment than the Falcon but this is a problem easily overcome by use of a rail with built in MOA. Also the crosshairs are a bit thicker than ideal but this is a subjective observation.
I've often thought that the Falcon is the best dollar value out there amongst entry level target/tactical scopes and if budget is a big consideration it might well be the one to go with but you might find the 18 magnification just a bit weak if you want to reach out to the 600 yard point. If it was my choice, and for the application you suggest, I'd go to the 4200.
