Picking up a Winchester Ranger 120 12g shotgun

So a friend of mine was moving, and needed to get rid of his shotgun.

I shoot at an indoor range, and have no real use for a shotgun, but figured I'd help him out and buy it from him.

I paid $150 for a Winchester Ranger 120 12g shotgun.

He gave me a soft case for it and about 250 ish target rounds.

Was it worth it, whats the average value on this gun.

Its in pretty good condition.

I took it to the indoor range and had some fun with a phone book. Other than that, I dont have much use for it and im sure itll just sit in my safe for the most part.

Yeah, you got a good deal, but nothing unhuman. Whether it was a great deal or just a good deal depends on if it has a synthetic / wood stock, vent rib, and choke system. He gave you a solid 50$ worth of ammo as well, so it's looking pretty good. Last time I checked, a 120 Ranger synthetic w/ vent rib and choke system went for 200$. I think there's one in the EE for 150 now...but w/o the ammo and case.

You had a good deal; it's a good shotgun like the win 1300, and maybe better.

You need to learn wingshooting. Join a trap/skeet club and have at 'er.
